RIM have fought their way into the tablet battle with the release of the BlackBerry Playbook. At 7 inches, it also boasts quite a remarkable price – £129. It’s particularly good for business use as the device seems to handle multitasking quite well; it doesn’t lag much when you flip between screens.
What’s also attractive is that it has an- integration tool for social media, meaning you can plug in your LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter accounts directly to the tablet.
While it can’t really hold a candle to the ‘luxury’ tablets, it’s pretty ideal for a budget business tablet computer.
Asus Transformer Pad Infinity
If your business is doing particularly well and you want to fork out for a tablet, the Asus does quite a lot for its £500 price tag.
The processor is pretty strong, at 1.6GHz, which is also quad core with 1GB of RAM. The screen is full 1080p, so it’s great with graphic presentations. Connectivity is another strong point; there’s a micro HDMI port as well as a connector for PCs for enhanced syncing.
Apple iPad Third Generation
It seems like an obvious choice, especially if you’re intending on impressing clients. The Retina display offers stunning resolution, which means you’ll be able to blow people away with any graphic presentations you might have.
The App Store offers a multitude of business-related apps, and with the release of iCloud, syncing your documents will be effortless.
